AM FM Crank and Solar Radios for Emergency Preparedness Fairs, Senior Fairs, and Go Kit Programs

This is a public preparedness handout shelf, not agency equipment. A crank or solar radio is the item a resident actually keeps in a closet after an emergency preparedness fair, a storm or wildfire readiness campaign, a family emergency plan program, a senior fair or a station open house.

The shelf carries a crank radio with a light, a dynamo solar AM FM radio flashlight with a USB port, a radio with a flashlight and a phone charger, a retro FM radio that doubles as a Bluetooth speaker, a color changing light AM FM radio, a USB desk fan and clock radio, and a retro reel to reel style radio. These are receive only AM and FM radios. None is a two way radio, a walkie talkie or a duty radio, and none states a weather alert band. Foremost Promotions sends free samples to businesses and organizations so buyers can compare radios before ordering.

Common Questions About Radios

Are these two way or duty radios?
No. Every item here is a receive only AM FM radio or a Bluetooth speaker. For duty communications, use the department's own equipment.

Do they get weather alerts?
No product here states a weather alert band.

Can the lead see the crank radio?
Yes. Add the crank radio to the sample basket from its product page, or call 800.431.3473. It arrives packaged so the community risk reduction lead can wind it up at the planning meeting. Free samples ship to a business or organization address through the Foremost Promotions sample basket.
