National Child Abuse Prevention Month is a time for families and communities to come together in order to educate on the need for child abuse and neglect prevention and promote the health, safety and emotional well-being of children across the country. Throughout the month of April, everyone is encouraged to participate in events and activities that promote child abuse prevention, share prevention awareness strategies and advocate for child protection from abuse and neglect.

April was first proclaimed child prevention Month back in 1983 but the first child protection legislation that lead to its establishment was signed in 1974. It marked the beginning of important national responses to child abuse and neglect and in 1982 Congress decided that June 6 - 12 would be designated as the first National Child Abuse Prevention Week. Just one year later the program was amended to take up the entire month of April.

Since then, child abuse prevention educational products have played a major role in the promotion of this incredibly significant movement and the spread of awareness. The National Center on Child Abuse and Neglect has coordinated events and distributed educational promotional products like posters, bumper stickers and buttons that displayed themes, such as "Take time out. Don't take it out on your kid."

The incorporation of educational promotional products can help you make a major impact on your outreach and awareness efforts. Foremost Promotions understands just how important this is and that’s why we’ve put together this specialty store of helpful and informative promotional products to help you get the attention you need and spread the word about child abuse and neglect prevention.
