The Original Astronaut Space Pen was selected by NASA for use on Apollo 7 and has been used on all manned space flights since then. Made of solid brass with a hard chrome plating, the Astronaut Pen features a unique clicking mechanism that extends the point via the top button and retracts the point via a release button on the side. Includes refillable medium-point black writing ink. Fisher Space Pens carry a unique gas pressurized ink cartridge that allows you to write almost anywhere - upside down, at any angle, under water, through grease, extreme temperatures (-30 to +250 degrees F), on almost any surface, three times longer than the average pen, and of course in the gravity free vacuum of space.
